A Response To George Will--Mitt has a 6 -19 record in

January 22, 2012 by d2bets
Just looked up, Mitt won 11 primaries in 2008. So if we're counting each as a separate election, he's got more than 6 wins. He came in 2nd or 3rd in 20 contests.

Still baffled on 6-19.

Romney believes in handouts to the unemployed

January 16, 2012 by d2bets
Either that, or he just wants to buy votes...

SUMTER, S.C. - Amid shaking hands and signing campaign posters, Mitt Romney did something he has never done before on the ropeline: He took out his wallet and handed a wad of cash to a woman waiting to shake his hand.
The woman, 55-year-old Ruth Williams, says she has been following the Romney campaign since he arrived in the state on Jan. 11, when she said she received a message from God to track him down.
"I was on the highway praying and said, 'God just show me how to get [my] lights on,' and I pulled up to a stop sign and his bus was there," said Williams, who has been unemployed since last October. "And then God said, 'Follow the bus,' and I followed the bus to the airport."

A Response To Super Square Play for the NFL This Week.

January 11, 2012 by d2bets
If GB loses the backend you lose the $458 but you've already won $58 on the Pats, thus your net in this accumulation play is $400. Under the scenario that moses laid out, you can lose no more than $400 total (going for the $200 win). Under the parlay scenario it's a $410 risk to win $200. It's that simple. And the reason why separate bets is usually better that you're likely to find the best ML on the two games at different books.

There is one other consideration though. The way we lay it out you... More...

A Response To SecretStash Is An Asshole

January 9, 2012 by d2bets
Liar. We both play 5/10 (not that many here do) so we happened to end up at the same table maybe a handful of times in the past year, if that. Just a guess, but I've probably logged at least 150 SBR ring hours and I doubt I've been at the same ring table as him for even 2 hours total and I can't recall anything eventful happening. I tried to avoid playing against him (mainly because he's good) but sometimes it's the only action around. I bet I've played against almost everyone who plays 5/10 regularly here more often. #1 it was never a secret that we're brothers #2 we never cheated and #3 since I'm not a cheater it never occurred to me that someone could think we could be cheating. Besides, anybody could cheat, doesn't require a blood relationship. In any case, I will take care to never play at the same table anymore. Besides, I don't like playing against him anyway. He's good. I'd rather play against fish like you and rickeysteve.

A Response To The Hatred of Jay Cutler: It really bothers me...

November 24, 2011 by d2bets
QB rating is overrated. Doesn't always reflect the truth. You could argue Cutler hasn't had a bad game all year. His lowest rated game 46.7 vs. Carolina, he did not play badly at all, he just wasn't asked to do much. Bears got out to a lead and scored on special teams and defense and they didn't need him: 9/17, 102 yards, 1 INT (wasn't his fault). Same thing in the blowout of Detroit. Scored twice on defense: 9/19, 123, 0 INT. Perfectly managed the game.

The only disaster game was @ New Orleans... More...

A Response To NFL Teams to MAKE the PLAYOFFS Odds!

November 22, 2011 by d2bets
Bears still -265 to make it. Of course they were around -330 before the SD win/Cutler injury. If Cutler hadn't been injured, I suppose it'd be like -400. Looks like the Giants are in poor shape. Let's essentially give the divisions to GB, SF, NO. Looking at Giants (+210)/Cowboys (-210)/Bears(-265)/Lions(-155)/Falcons(-135)....we know 3/5 are going to make it. Except though, I guess the Eagles must be given some chance. Otherwise, NYG+210/DAL-210 would be a freeroll at a wildcard. Odds seem quite low that the wildcard will come from East. Basically, it's Bears/Lions/Falcons in wildcard fight. It gets really interesting too since Bears beat Falcons, Falcons beat Lions and Bears/Lions split. If they 3-way tie, going to have to dig deep into tiebreaker rules and it would benefit ATL because you first eliminate one of the divisional teams. ATL would need Chi eliminated that way. Could be interesting. So many variables at this point.

A Response To Bears + 7 = Best Play in Football This Week

September 13, 2011 by d2bets
Bears have more talent on defense. Julius Peppers is another level, and if he Melton/Okoye in the middle progress they way they are, that D-Line is going to be scary. And then you've got Urlacher and Briggs closing in the middle. If they continue to get that pressure it narrows the field and covers up some weakness in the secondary. Bottom line, the Bears defense always seems tough, but this looks like the best one since Tommie Harris in his prime in '06, and maybe better because that team didn't have Peppers. On the other...
